Cha-Ha-Mu Aboriginal Park

Four hundred years ago, Anping was the territory of the indigenous Zhou people. The word “cha-ha-mu” means “capitol” in their native language, and the “Song of Cha-ha-mu” describes the life in the capitol and is now still sung among tribespeople. The park has a total area of 5,223 square meters and displays many indigenous items and architectures including colorful totems, stone-slab houses, a command podium, indigenous stone landscapes, wood carvings, a watchtower and “kuba” - a pavilion with strong Zhou characteristics.
Starting from 2003, the last Sunday of February and late October are “Zhuo Tribe’s Capitol Days”. Zhou people will return to their homeland and hold a wonderful cultural festival with song and dance. If you are interested in indigenous culture, do remember to come and experience the strength and vitality of the people!
