Anping Local Culture Exhibition Hall

A lot of people come to Anping for a stroll during holidays, and the bustling Yanping old street is the most popular among most of the tourists. But if your definition of visiting an “old street” is coming to Yanping Street for food and snacks only, then you could easily miss attractions like the Anping Local Culture Exhibition Hall.
Built between 1913 and 1924, the hall was originally the Japanese-style dormitory of Simen Elementary School’s principals. Thanks to the funding from National Anping Harbor Historic Park which is used to support the renovation of old houses, the Japanese-style exhibition hall underwent two years of renovation. The well-preserved building showcases many special characteristics of wooden houses of that period.
Under the management of the District Office, the Anping Local Culture Exhibition Hall has become one of the new popular spots among the old village. We hope to add on more diverse concepts and ideas as the Exhibition Hall develops.
