Guanyin Temple

Built in 1826 during the Ch’ing Dynasty, this Guanyin Temple is said to be a branch of the Guanyin Temple in China. Back then fishermen from China brought the belief with them to Taiwan. The main god worshipped here is Bodhisattva (Guanyin) and is said to be extremely responsive to mortal prayers. Three times a year during Guanyin’s birthday, the temple will serve lunch to all the disciples in celebration!
