Huashan Temple

Huashan Temple is one of the two last remaining Longhua school temples. The main deities worshipped here include the Sakyamuni Buddha and Guanyin Buddha. It was established in 1799 and had undergone renovations during the Japanese Occupation Period and in 1958. Partial renovations were done in 2009, and it is now listed as a Grade 3 Historic Site.
As you walking into the temple, you can immediately feel yourself being surrounded by “spiritual wisdom”, as written on the plaque hanging above the shrine. The architectural style is quite simple and modest. Unlike other temples, there are not much decorative paintings in here. The temple is the perfect reflection of the spirit of the Zhaijiao sect of Buddhism.
