In order to carry out the city government's goal of clean and transparent government, for the major project "Tainan City Chengxi New Incinerator BOT " undertaken by the Environmental Protection Bureau of Tainan City Government("EPB" or "the Bureau"), which has been allocated with total budget of approximately NT$5.4 billion and is expected to start operating in 2024, the EPB has set up an Integrity Platform during the investment stage to integrate the recommendations of inspection, ethics, investigation, experts and scholars, as well as external supervision. Through the public-private cooperation of various agencies and contractors, it is hoped to leverage the power of risk prevention measures and public oversight to improve the quality of public works projects.
