  1. Tainan County and Tainan City were merged into an administrative entity as a special municipality. Legal and General Affairs Section, and Administrative Relief Section under the Department of General Affairs of the original Tainan County Government, plus Legal and General Affairs Section, and Consumer Protection and Administrative Relief Section under the Department of General Affairs and Legal Affairs of the original Tainan City Government were reorganized to form the Department of Legal Affairs, under which are: Legal and Administrative Affairs Section , Administrative Relief Section, and Legal Review Section. Each section is staffed with capable professionals at both Minjhih Civic Center and Yonghua Civic Center to handle legal matters.
  2. Two branch offices - Minjhih Civic Center and Yonghua Civic Center - were set up to handle municipal affairs following Tainan's status upgrades. Departments (agencies) and staff of the city hall are established and assigned to the two Civic Centers accordingly to oversee municipal matters. Both centers are staffed respectively with a professional personnel.
    The Department of Legal Affairs is an assistive unit; and, to meet operation demands of partner agencies (units) in the City Government, facilitate a convenient inquiry service, improve administration efficiency, streamline official document processing and save time, trained personnel are staffed in both Minjhih and Yonghua Civic Centers to handle matters concerning legal affairs, regulations, appeals, and state compensation.

Visit the Department of Legal Affairs in Minjhih Civic Center at: 5th Floor, No. 36 of Minjhih Road (the Centennial Mansion), Sinying District. Or the Department's other office in Yonghua Civic Center at: 14th Floor, No. 6, Section 2, Yonghua Road (the Municipal Building), Anping District. Also, feel free to visit any branch office (unit) nearest you should you have any questions concerning the operations or services of the Department.
