Anding Holds Flood Drill for Inundated Roads and Emergency Shelters

Anding District is serious about ensuring that government units involved in disaster prevention and response are able to quickly and effectively handle natural disaster-level rains. So, at 2pm on February 18, a disaster drill was held in Datong Village’s Community Activity Center and roads surrounding the building. The drill took place before the arrival of the flood season, and it involved the shelter for disaster victims and closing off submerged roads.

Groups from the district office’s Emergency Response Center, Gangkou Village’s police station, the village offices of Liujia and Datong, and village residents all worked together to carry out the drill. It’s expected that this drill will make sure disaster preparedness government units and village residents are able to properly handle flood-level rains. By being capable of quickly reacting using rational methods, the community can stop a disaster from getting worse, which will reduce the amount of damage to human life and property.
