Dengue Fever Eradication Needs Everyone’s Prompt Action

To avoid dengue fever infection, all citizens need to inspect top floors, balconies, and bathrooms thoroughly to avoid water stagnating in buckets and plant dishes. Moreover, it is necessary to clean up stacking items and gutters outdoors to prevent dengue fever.

The dengue virus is carried by mosquito that breeds in containers with clear, stagnant water. Reducing breeding habitat to lower mosquito populations can help control dengue fever. Where there is no stagnant water in containers, there is no dengue fever! Four tips to prevent dengue fever: Patrolling (examining containers with stagnant water), Draining (pouring out stagnant water), Cleaning (cleaning up stacking items), and Scrubbing (scrubbing containers to get rid of mosquito eggs).

Please take the initiative in examining and cleaning inside and outside of your house and clean up containers with stagnant water. If containers with stagnant water are not cleaned up and detected with a positive result for dengue virus, a $3,000 to $15,000 NTD fine will be charged.
