On Sunday, September 30, 2018, the Anding Ground Golf Cup was held in Anding District’s very own sports park. Enjoying cool, refreshing autumn weather, this championship event attracted talented ground golf enthusiasts from all walks of life who form friendships over a game popularly known as park golf. Anding District Chief Liu Shih-Hsiung attended the event and delivered its opening remarks. Liu, who also competed in the event, told the crowd to protect themselves against dengue fever by keeping themselves away from dengue vector mosquitoes that can spread the disease by biting people.
The Anding Ground Golf Cup is a sizeable sports occasion hosted by Anding District Office; Tainan Municipal Sports Federation’s Ground Golf Committee is in charge of the event, which has already taken place for several years now. Featuring a large amount of competitors and a lively atmosphere, the golfers were seeking to set personal records for low scores while testing their skills against fellow competitors.
District Chief Liu said that the Anding Ground Golf Cup is one of the district’s indispensable annual sporting events.
