Comfortable and Content During the New Year: Anding Charity Organizations Help Disadvantaged Households

Charity organizations of Tainan City’s Anding District helped underprivileged households enjoy a happy and carefree New Year. Unik World Industrial Company Chairperson and charity organization member Mr. Zhou Wen-san, just like last year, once again donated to Anding District’s low income households as well as disadvantaged groups in Gangwei Village. Before the New Year he donated 2,000NT to every low income household, helping 156 households in the district and making disadvantaged families able to welcome in the New Year with happy hearts free from concern and worry.
Director of Anding District Chu Tung stated that ever since Anding Charity Organization was founded in August 2014 12 houses have been renovated, which is the organization’s main focus. Furthermore, the types of help offered have been expanded to now assisting disadvantaged people. Not only does Mr. Zhou regularly support and put a great amount of effort into the charity’s many activities and events, but before the New Year he took some of his company’s profits and donated the money to Anding District’s low income households and Gangwei Village’s disadvantaged groups. His contributions truly are an example of the power of charity in developing an area in a multitude of different ways.
Weicheng Enterprise joined Anding Charity Organization for this year’s charity effort by giving white rice to low income households. Charity members, village chiefs and officers, and the district office’s substitute civilian servicemen worked together in personally delivering money and rice donations to disadvantaged households. This person-to-person exchange was full of warmth and care, as recipient families could feel their community’s love before New Year’s festivities began.
District Director Chu Tung also expressed that Mr. Zhou’s dedication to philanthropy is boundless and his actions are very admirable, as not only does he donate his money and energy but he also has made the charity able to plant “seeds of love” that continue to sprout around Anding District. The district office is also working hard at integrating resources to take care of those in need, such as the last winter cold wave when winter supplies were delivered to houses. In addition, the program where people accompany the elderly on their trips to the hospital is still in effect. These community services are part of an effort to make sure that the district’s residents truly feel happy and relaxed in Anding.
