Sinsing Village is a settlement east of Houjie Village. The area of jurisdiction includes Gangcian Liao, Guogang Liaozai, Liaocian, and Sinjie Jhuangzai. Gangcian Liao: Located to the southeast of Xiaying Junior High School. This was a small bay created by an artificial river dug during the Japanese occupation of Taiwan. The settlers constructed houses in this area to form a small village, thus giving rise to the name Gangcian Liao.
Guogang Liaozai: Located south of Gangcian Liao. People once took ferry rides from here to the hamlet. The hamlet is now currently unpopulated.
Liaocian: A small settlement to the southwest of Gangcian Liao. Hence, it was named Liaocian (the village in front of the manor).
Sinjie Jhuangzai: A great fire broke out at Xiaying in 1932 (7th Year of Emperor Showa). People who lived at Gangcian Liao, Guogang Liaozai, and Liaocian were moved to the new village constructed east of Houjiezai, giving rise to the name Sinjie Jhuangzai (the small, newly constructed village). After World War II, the village was renamed Sinsing Village.
