Yanshuei District is situated at 23o 21’ N and 120 o 28’ E (according to the location of Yanshuei district office). It borders Yijhu Township to the north and neighbours Houbi District, Sinying District, Siaying District, and Syuejia District.
The whole area covers 52.2455 km2 sitting on the alluvial plains formed by Bajhang River and Jishuei River. There are no mountains and hills in the area.
